As a young bride, Beth joined her husband on a journey throughout the US. No matter where her husband’s career took them, (Houston, Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago & Colorado Springs) Beth worked in addition to being full time housewife and eventually a mom.
Holding positions in Customer Service, Merchandising, Buying, Management and Sales educated Beth and provided a well rounded background for business ownership before launching her first venture in Colorado Springs.
However, no matter where they lived, Beth's heart yearned to someday move back home to the Pittsburgh area. When her husband’s health challenged his work ability, Beth sold her successful business which employed approximately 17 associates and serviced over 1350 clients in 5 short years.
Returning home to Pittsburgh was a dream come true but without Michael’s income and the added heath expenses, Beth needed to find a way to support the family. Fortunately, with her management experience, and a concern for an efficient government, Beth was hired as an assistant to one of PA's leading elected officials. Working with numerous business owners to solve their concerns reminded Beth how much she missed owning her own business.
Finding the right match started an investigative journey. If you ask Michael, what makes Beth such a dynamic business owner? He may laugh and respond, "It's not the money, but compassion for her clients. Beth often will come home and not mention she had a record day, but instead explain how a client was in tears because their hairdresser noticed new hair growth or how another client was excited about fitting into a pair of skinny jeans once again. Beth care's genuinely for her clients, they know it, that's the secret for her success."
If you ask Beth- why lasers? She will explain these are not typical lasers, they are cool lasers, i.e.: non-invasive, meaning NO PAIN, NO DOWNTIME, NO SURGERY, NO ANESTHETICS, absolutely NO HARMFUL SIDE EFFECTS. The only worry left was did they work? For three years, Beth & Michael researched and studied the technology- flying to various locations to see first-hand what clients & business owners had to say. Flying to meet manufacturers, learning everything they could about these high tech devices.
Beth & Michael prayed. Once convinced, they invested their savings and borrowed the remainder from a family member to get the office open. Michael reports, Beth never lost focus. She continued to do what she does best, helping one client at a time. Today Laser Hair Enhancement is Laser Enhancements.
Laser Enhancements focuses on assisting clients through the use of cool non-invasive lasers.Even after six years of extensive research on how lasers interact with the body, (three prior to opening) Beth wanted to ensure she did everything possible to promote value. Beth explains, “Price is what you pay, Value is what you get. Her definition of Value is, 1st SAFETY, 2nd RESULTS, 3rd VALUE." When Beth added the 'Lipo-Laser, ZERONA', she approached, Dr. Zillweger (Dr Z) to join Laser Enhancements as Medical Director. Dr. Z's personality, experience and interest were the perfect match. In addition to running a successful practice, he holds a MRO (MEDICAL REVIEW OFFICER) license and served previously as Coroner. Dr Z understands how technology can enhance our health and body.
Helping one client at a time, treating each and every one with understanding and a smile is her big secret. We've only begun to open the window of how Laser Technology will enhance our health & lifestyle. Beth says LASER ENHANCEMENTS will grow as LASER technology fills needs.
